Giving Back to the Community
Submitted By Matthew Redican on Sunday, January 17, 2021
The Humberview Huskies U-16 AA (Minor Midget) team has been busy doing their part to help.  Over the holidays, they collected food from neighbours and friends for those in need.  At the completion of the food drive, Coach Glenn Camilleri went to each of their homes to pick up what was collected, filling his truck to capacity, and took the load to the Daily Bread Food Bank, which distributes food to the needy.

The needy is a growing population, particularly with the effects of the pandemic, and food drives, for the most part, have been suspended for the same reasons.

Daily Bread was so pleased and grateful to young hockey players who took the time and the initiative to help the community in this way.  Great job Huskies!

If you would like to support the Daily Bread Food Bank via a COVID-safe collection or donation of food, see www.dailybread.ca
